Thank you for taking a moment to get familiar with who I am and how I can be the perfect fit for your team. Let's start building our future professional relationship today!
A little about me, I am a "mother" of a bunch of now adults, and this includes nieces, nephews, various step-kids, and my 2 biological daughters. I live in Meridian, Idaho and have for over 40 years. I love the PNW and plan to stay in this magical area. When not at work, you can find me traveling, cultivating flowers, watching my grand-dogs or attending concerts.
In my previous career, I was devoted to the development of a deep sense of wonder and excitement for adolescents through hands-on relevant learning opportunities. I have taken my accomplishments in this area to expand on them, to move into the realm of workplace learning and development. To see this to fruition, I recently completed two years of study in the Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) master's program at Boise State University's College of Engineering. I graduate in December.
I was able to earn my M.S. certificate in Workplace Instructional Design in the first two semesters of my program, and I plan to utilize these specialized skills in a future role in this field. I graduate in December.
Now armed with specialized KSAs in principles of adult learning, systematic methods of workplace performance improvement, and organization development, I happily add these to my many years of practical classroom experience. I currently find myself immersed in pattern analytics, development of barrier-free systematic organization, and delivering masterfully effective stakeholder feedback to increase the performance of employees, helping businesses succeed. It usually requires an intervention to ensure these goals are being optimally upheld. Through needs analysis, I can determine if training, either in an in-person, virtual, or blended capacity, is the solution. As a certified Workplace Instructional Designer, I can help find and leverage employee growth opportunities to allow companies to thrive! The product resources for which you have access in this portfolio, are reflections of my hard work as a master's student in the OPWL program or in the workplace as an ID or PI. My hope is that it reflects professionalism, while showing the necessary gratitude for the persons and entities that have allowed me these opportunities. Please enjoy!
These are just a few of the samples you will find in my expanded Competency Samples pages in the Resources Tab above. They are organized by course work and explained in context of framework steps, OPWL program learning goals, and critical skills used.
